"Helen L Schafer, 57, of 586 Washington St, Meadville, died at 1:20am Tuesday, Feb 22, 2000, at the home of her mother in Guys Mills. Born Nov 15, 1942, in Warren, she was a daughter of Harold L Caldwell Sr and Martha L Frederick Caldwell. She was a graduate of Killingly High School in Danielson, Conn. Mrs Schafer had owned and operated Multi-Service Printing in Seneca and later owned and operated Career Casuals, a dress shop, in Franklin. Most recently she had been a printer for Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Oil City. Mrs Schafer enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, golfing, crafts and playing bingo. Surviving are three children, Mrs Doug (Melissa A) Johnston of Bluffton, Ohio, Thomas W Kenniston Jr of Pittsburgh and Mrs William (Kimberly S) Wilson Jr of Pittsburgh, and five grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler and Bryce Johnston of Bluffton, Ohio, and William Wilson III and Cameron Wilson of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are her mother and stepfather, Martha Caldwell and John A Myers of Guys Mills, three brothers, Harold Leon Caldwell Jr and his wife Rose, of Hartford City, Ind, Thomas L Caldwell of Toledo, Ohio, and Terry L Caldwell and his wife Laurie, of Myerstown, four nieces and a nephew. Mrs Schafer was preceded in death by her father. Friends may call from noon to 2pm Thursday in the Huff Chapel, 312 W Park St, Franklin. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev Ted Cole, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Oil City, officiating. Interment will follow in Bridgeview Cemetery, Mount Jewett."
