Mrs. Kate C. Cochran, 83, died Sunday, February 27, 1984, in Ross Nursing Home in Wagoner. Services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Hersman Chapel with Lester Foutch officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bub Brumnett, Mark Bethell, Salty Childress, John Sleeper, Roy Williams, Bob Hill, and Dr. Hal Divine.
Mrs. Cochran was born January 19, 1901, in Garrett, Texas. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Christian Church. She also belonged to Arts and Crafts, PEO, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority in Muskogee, Eastern Star, American Legion, Wagoner Historical Society and the American Association of University Women.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lu Cochran, of Tula; and several nieces and nephews.
