Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Colbert Baptist church. Interment was in the Colbert Cemetery. The Madison County Medical Association and the Clarke County Medical Society and several Athens doctors formed an honorary escort.
Dr. Loden was a native of Franklin County. He received his early education in Cornelia. After graduating from Emory University Medical College in 1914, he was a member of the faculty for two years. He moved to Colbert in 1917. Dr. Loden was a member of the Masons, Woodmen of the World, and the Baptist Church.
The death of Dr. Loden is Mourned by the host of friends and relatives in Franklin county where he was born and reared. He moved to Colbert about twelve years ago from Carnesville and had build up a splendid practice there in his chosen profession. He was married to Miss Nancy Dickson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Dickson, of Carnesville. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S.
H. Loden, of Mize and has many relatives in the county.
