Margaret Suppes, 82, died Nov. 16 at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. She was born May 25, 1927, at La Crosse, the daughter of George and Maude Snyder Dumler. She married George J. Suppes on April 23, 1947, at La Crosse. He died Dec. 13, 1983. She had been a Great Bend resident for the past 12 years, after living in Ellinwood for more than 30 years. She worked in the housekeeping department at Ellinwood District Hospital for more than 20 years.
Mrs. Suppes was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Great Bend.
Survivors include a son Daniel J. (Crystal) Suppes of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three daughters, Susan (Terry) Wright of St. John, Kathy Suppes of Manhattan and Marcia (Clifford) McCraw of Great Bend; two sisters, Nadine Million of La Crosse and June Wilhelm of Rush Center; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Abe Dumler and Floyd Dumler, and a sister, Violet Suppes.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Kimple Funeral Chapel in Ellinwood with Father Charles Mazouch officiating. Burial will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kimple Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will be an Altar Society Rosary at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
