Dallin, William Martell William Martell Dallin, 101 passed away October 29, 2009. He was born in Garland, UT on March 15, 1908. William was preceded in death by his wife, Serena M. Dallin, parents, Telitha L. Dallin and Stanley G. Dallin, brothers Stanley B. Dallin, and Warren S. Dallin, sisters Velma T. Swenson, and Ruth Hawkins. He is survived by his son, William (Bill) Dallin II, and numerous devoted nieces and nephews. William was an electrical engineer and designed audio broadcast equipment for Langevin Co. in CA and NY. He invented the concept of a tertiary winding to include the output transformer in an amplifier's feedback loop. He handled the design and installation of the radio studio equipment at the San Diego World's Fair in 1935, and the Gulf Radio Studio (later WRR) at the Texas Centennial at Fair Park in 1936. He moved to Texas in 1950 and worked for Geophysical Services Inc. which became Texas Instruments from which he retired in 1973. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. with rosary at 7:00 on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Calvary Hill North Chapel Mausoleum. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mater Dei Latin Mass Community, 6228 Winton St., Dallas, TX 75214.
