Melba, age 75, died August 2, 1992 in Edmond. She was born August 2, 1917 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the daughter of George and Hattie Redden. She attended school in Mississippi and Texas and was a 1934 graduate of South Park High School in Beaumont, Texas. On January 16, 1936, Melba married Frederick Theodore Clary in a ceremony held in Beaumont, Texas. Mrs. Clary was a Christian and long-time member of the Church of Christ.

Melba is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane Clary Ferris and Jim Ferris, and her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Charlotte Clary. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted, her sister, Georgie Aldredge and her brother, Paul Redden. Also left to mourn are several nieces, cousins and a host of friends.

Melba was a kind and loving Christian woman who faced her illness and death as she lived her entire life. She seldom complained and was grateful to those who ministered to her needs. Melba will be sorely missed and remembered always by those who knew and loved her.
