McFarland-Sprayberry of Braxton. She absolutely adored her 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Born December 17, 1946, in Jackson, She graduated from Jackson Central High School in 1965. She followed in her mother's footsteps, and became a certified nursing assistant at St. Dominic's Memorial Hospital for 29 years. She then moved to University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she worked as an Intake Technician for the after-house children's clinic switchboard.

After retiring from a satisfying career helping others, Sandra spent her days enjoying her hobbies of crocheting, travelling, and collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia. She made several pilgrimages to Graceland throughout her years.

She was a former member of Daniel Memorial Baptist Church in Jackson, and after moving to Pearl, became active at First Baptist Church Richland. Her husband, Edwards McFarland, preceded her in death.

One of Sandra's favorite scripture passages was Isaiah 40:31, "Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." (NASB)
