James P. Williams was the son of Jackson and Eliza Williams. He married Texana Clark on December 30, 1880 in San Jacinto County, Texas. They made their home in Coldsprings, Texas, where James became a prominent member of the community. He had a general store and some land. One daughter, Blanche Idella Williams was born on April 10, 1884. Sadly, Texana died on April 11, 1884.
