Steven Robert Blagg, 53, of Atchison, KS passed away on September 29, 2009.
Steven was born in Atchison, Kansas the son of Robert and Ramona Grace Blagg. He attended elementary schools at Trinity Lutheran School, Atchison, Kansas then Rushville Elementary School, Rushville, Missouri returning to Atchison where he graduated from Atchison High School in 1975.
Steven was employed for several years with Bunge Milling Company of Atchison as an operator.
He was a Christian. He was a member of and served as the representative for Local 4026 Bakery Confectionary Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Union at his plant. He participated in NASCAR, enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, working in his yard, spending time with his friends at the "Liar's Table" at Muellers Lockeroom and especially valued the quality time he spent with his companion, June and his family and many friends.
Steven is survived by his longtime companion, June Martin, Atchison, KS, two daughters; Ashley and her husband, Rob Emery, Effingham, KS, Stephanie and her husband, Scott Hudson, St. Joseph, MO, a close friend, Lindsey Gaume, Basehor, KS and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ramona Grace Blagg.
Services to be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, Missouri. A viewing and visitation with the family will be Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home, the body will be cremated following the visitation. Memorial contributions are suggested to Cancer Research or the Northeast Community Action Program and may be left in care of the funeral home.
