Clarence, age 68, died of an aortic aneurysm. He was the son of Meredith and Edith Hawk. He graduated from Atchison High School about 1959, Baker University, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1969 with a law degree. He was admitted to the bar in Missouri, US District Court, Western District of Missouri in 1970, and US District Court Northern District of Oklahoma in 1979. He established The Hawk Law Firm in 1970 and served as Prosecuting Attorney for Moniteau County, Missouri, from 1970 to 1976. He married Carole about 1964.
He was preceded in death by his father and his son, David Hawk. He is survived by his wife, his children, Amy Gurley and Chad Hawk, two grandchildren, his mother, his siblings, Melvin Hawk, Larry Hawk, Galen Hawk, and Lois Snavely.
Funeral services were held at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach. Burial was in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Atchison.
