Clester Sebron McClain married Clara Agnes Roberts Franz on November 30, 1951. They were married by his brother, Dr. Charles McClain. The wedding was at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Bennett and Julia Roberts.
"Uncle Mac" as he was called by all family was a very good and likable person. He was always ready to help, loved to garden and was very active in his West End Baptist Church activities and in the Hawaiian Baptist Academy in Honolulu where he and Clara visited yearly. "Mac" had no children of his own but was devoted to his nieces and nephews.

Clester Sebron "Mac" McClain, 82, died December 21, 1986. Member of West End Baptist Church serving as Deacon and former teacher of Mens Bible Class for many years, Ruthven Commandry, Reagan Lodge No. 1037 A.F.&A.M., San Jacinto Council No. 347 R.A.M. Arabia Temple and the Advisory Council Hawaiian Baptist Academy of Honolulu. Also served in World War II U.S. Navy Sea Bees.
Survivors: wife, Clara "Roberts" Franz McClain of Houston; sisters, Annie Ruth Ruff of Waco, Tx., and Neleen Gassaway of Columbia, Mo., brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Charles L. and Beatrice McClain of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bennett J. and Thelma Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews.
