Sylvia Rubie Lacer, 79, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at the River Oaks Care Center in Steele.
She was born January 26, 1921 in Tennessee, the daughter of the late Enloe Donaldson Bomar and the late Myla Hatley Bomar.
She was united in marriage to Floyd Yancey on April, 1996. She was a member of The Church of God in Tyler and was a Pentecostal. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Yancey of #8 community; two sons, Roger Lacer of #8 community and Danny Lacer of Huffman, Ark.; one daughter, Charline Haile of #8 community; three sisters, Maxine Huffman of Piggott, Ark., Peggy Hatley of Memphis and Roberta Erwin of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Gene Bomar of Piggott, Ark.; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Services were held on Thursday, April 6, 2000, 2 p.m. at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. Clifford Britt officiating. Interment was in the #8 Cemetery in Cooter.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of services.

RUDIE LACER YANCEY
Rudie Lacer Yancey, 79, of the Number Eight Community, Mo., died Monday, April 3, 2000 at the River Oaks Care Center in Steele.
Born January 26, 1921 in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Enloe Donaldson Bomar and Myla Hatley Bomar.
Rudie was united in marriage to Charlie Lacer in 1935 in Pemiscot County, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1992. In April of 1996 she was united in marriage to Floyd Yancey in Blytheville, Ark.
She was a homemaker and member of the Tyler Church of God in Tyler, Mo.
Mrs. Yancey leaves her husband, Floyd Yancey, of Number Eight Community; Two sons: Roger Lacer of Number Eight Community and Danny Lacer of Huffman, Ark.; One daughter, Charline Haile, of Number Eight Community; Three sisters: Maxine Huffman of Piggott, Ark., Peggy Hatley of Memphis, Tenn., and Roberta Erwin of Flint, Mich.; One brother, Gene Bomar, of Piggott; Seven grandchildren; and Ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Yancey were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2000 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Mo., with Rev. Clifford Britt and Rev. Jonathan Heard officiating.
Burial was at the Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter, Mo., with Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were James VanDyke, Roy Forsythe, Scott Riley, David Bond, Jason Anderson and Hobie Hattenhauer.
