Judith Ann, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2006 at Mesquite Medical Center in Mesquite, Texas, following a lengthy illness caused by COPD. Judi was born January 29, 1940 in Shelbyville, Indiana, the oldest child of William and Priscilla M. Eades Leffler. She had turned 66 on Sunday. Judi married Tommy J. Hill in Indiana in 1955. To this union were born William Leonard Hill, Tommy Joe Hill and Leland Edward Hill. Judi spent her early years in Indiana. She moved with her family to Texas after the death of her father. She returned to Indiana as a teenager, but following her marriage, she and her husband came back to make their home in Texas. She had lived in the Dallas area for 45 years. She had been an active member of the Briggs Street United Methodist Church. She served for 10 years on the Balch Springs Water Board. Judi was extremely proud that she could trace her maternal lineage to John and Priscilla Alden, along with many other Mayflower descendants. She was a prospective member for the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was eligible for many lineage societies. Judi was preceded in death by her father, a WWII tail gunner who was shot down over Italy; her mother Priscilla died in 2002 and her husband passed away in 1996. She is survived by her sons, Billy, Tommy Joe, Leland and their spouses. She leaves to mourn her passing eleven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and Jazmyn Ann Nichole Esparza due to arrive in May, who will never know her wonderful loving grandmother. She is also survived by her brother Lewis Edward Leffler and Joanne, her sister Peggy Lorea Bostic and Ray, her adored aunt, Barbara Gray of Gainesville, cousins Carolyn Costin, Gainesville, Linda Sullivan, McKinney, Janice Snyder, Indianapolis and Charles Eades of Dallas. She will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, Leffler cousins of Indiana, friends and neighbors. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 3, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at True Life Fellowship Church on Seagoville Rd. Interment will be at a later date in Ridgeview Cemetery in McKinney. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or the COPD foundation.
