St. GEORGE - William Henry Gregg, 90, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1985, at a local care center. He was born May 6, 1885, in Osawatomie, Kan., to James and Adelaide O'Brien Gregg. He married Katherine Carkhuff (1897-1987) in 1915 in Ottawa, Kan. They had been married for 70 years.

His early life was spent in Kansas. He later moved to Southern California, where he lived for 50 years, coming to St. George in 1983. He had been a barber prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of St. George; two sons and three daughters: Delbert Gregg, W.H. Gregg, Mrs. Ollie (Veda) Joy, all of St. George, Mrs. Jack (Naomi) Folker of Murray, Utah, Mrs. Neal (Juanita) Maddux of Cerritos, Callifornia.; 14 grandchildren; two sister: Mrs. Lula Sturbenz of California, Mrs.Babe Gooden of Kansas.

Graverside services will be heal Saturday, Nov. 9, 1985, at 4 p.m. in the St. George City Cemetery. Friends may call at Metcalf Mortuary on Saturday one hour prior to services.
