Harve Elder, 67, of Cowden died at 2:10 a.m. on June 26, 1970 in St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham, Illinois. He was born March 18, 1903 in Harrisburg, West Virginia, a son of Lonnie and Blanche Gill Elder. He married Clara Epperson on March 12, 1926. She died in 1968.
Surviving are four daughters and six sons: Fay Doty and Carolyn Hagel, Peoria, Illinois; Shirley Rowe, Park Ridge, Illinois; Garcia Blickem, Peru, Indiana; Harve, Jr, Clark and James Elder, all of Cowden, Illinois; Kenneth Elder,Titusville, Florida; Dempester, Austin, Texas, and John Elder, St. Louis, Missouri; a sister, Muriel Coley, Heldon, Oklahoma; and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Lockart and Son Funeral Home in kCowden, Illinois with Rev. Wm. Bailey officiating.
