married to marie garrett. father to harry earl,and kenneth.uncle earl and his brother harry were professional vaudeville entertainers around the 1910s thru the 1940s.they both sang,uncle harry played the guitar and uncle earl played the mandolin.their act was on the same billing as al jolson.when they got married uncle earl gave up vaudeville.however uncle harry continued singing.uncle earl along with brother harry and their young sister evalyn,which was my great grandmother and their mother stella were abandond by their father at a very young age, and so their life was very hard. there were some light hearted times however like around 1910 when my g grandma eva was seven years old her brother harry and earl were told they had to take her to the nickelodeon with them. on one particular night after the movies her brothers thought they would scare her from wanting to go again, while they were walking down a dark sidewalk one night,they invented a horrible story about bloody tom,as they finished the story a man approached from a dark alley in front of them,uncle earl and uncle harry took off screaming leaving their sister eva in the dark.they later went back to get her.ggrandma said from that time on they were good boys and never mentioned bloody tom again.(this story came from my grandpa ray turner who was her son).uncle earl was always known to be a very neat dresser,always being seen in expensive clothes when he was older and could afford them.uncle earl died in downey california.
