CANDLER - Hubert Charles Fore, 76, of 139 Davis Creek Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at Hospice Solace Center. Mr. Fore was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Horace Ward Fore and Augusta Sexton Fore. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Candler House of Prayer. He was a former employee of Asheville Hosiery Mill and Three Mountaineers and retired from Asheville Steel. He is survived by his wife, Ruby O'Kelley Fore three daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and David Boyter, Shelia and Ronnie Mease and Audette and Charles Watts one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald C. and Sharon Fore, all of Candler three sisters, Ava Lee O'Kelley, Mildred Fuller and Helen Ramsey, all of Asheville eight grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. The graveside services will be held Thursday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with the Rev. Chuck Waldrup officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
