Cottonwood Native Interred at Baird; February 15, 1962
Aden Atwood, 57, a native of Cottonwood, was buried at Baird Friday. He died in Callahan County Hospital Tuesday afternoon following a heart attack. Born November 22, 1904 in Cottonwood, he had been a resident of this area most of his life. He married Viola Tierney Feb 16 1927 in Eastland. He was a member of the IOOF. Survivors are his wife; a son, Donnie of Baird, a daughter, Mrs. Bill Becher of Jal, New Mexico; his mother, Mrs. Iron Atwood; a brother Hobert, and three sisters, Mrs. jewel Shirley, Mrs. Eula Cerine and Mrs. Bill Farrar, all of Fresno, California and four grandchildren.
