Mrs. Laura Marshall, 79, a Cleveland resident for about 15 years, was found dead of a heart attack in her sleep Wednesday night, September 30, 1959. Mrs. Marshall had suffered a series of heart attacks during the past year and had been hospitalized on several occasions for treatment of the ailment.
A native of Van Zandt County, Texas, Mrs. Marshall had made her home for the past 15 years with her son, George Marshall. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David Davis of Quemado, New Mexico; a half-sister, Mrs. Stella Stayton, and a half-brother, Frank Gaines, both of Banta, California; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Western Heights Baptist Church Sunday afternoon, October 4, by the Rev. Bill Henry, pastor. Interment was in Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman Funeral Home.
