Lena Mae Lewis was born in the Melissa Texas area to Jackson Oliver and Mollie Dean Reasonover Lewis. Her brothers and sisters included, Maud, Etter, Lula Mae, Gabe, Bessie Bertha, Dewit, Clark,Fred,and Jack James. The family later moved to the New Mesquite and Balltown area south of Farmersville where she met and married Robert Pullen. They had four children, Oneta Mae, Herschel Howard which he changed to Robert, Jackie Lewis, and Odessa Fay. Lena and Robert farmed their entire lives. With her independent pioneer nature, she maintained her home and garden up until her death. She died on mothers day after a short illness
