Featherstone jolley was born the seventh child to james and kisiah jolley.
He was married to Deliah Burton wRIGHTIn 1850, Featherston was living in Cleveland county, North Carolina and was listed as a farmer with the value of his real estate listed as $300.

Fertherston Jolly, a son of James and Kisiah Jolly, married Delia Burton Wright, a daughter of Abner Wright and Annie Martin Wright. He joined the church at Camp Creek and was baptised by Rev. Brison Paggett. He was born in 1811. He married when he was about twenty-one years of age. His wife was about twenty years old at the time. They had eight children; Marion Martin, Kisiah Ann, Richard Meredy, G.W., William Winston, Elizabeth Jane, Columbus Miles and Abner Jolly.
