Born to Louis John Otto Prell (1894-1965) & Martha Germer Prell (1896-1968). Hook married Kay Frances Wilson on April 24, 1947 at Bendena, KS. They were married 52 years and had five children.

HANOVER -- Hugo "Hook" H. Prell, 77, Hanover, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at a Marysville health care center.

Mr. Prell was employed in the vending machine sales business. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was born Oct. 16, 1921, at Bremen, the son of Louis J. O. Prell and Martha Germer Prell.

Mr. Prell was a member of the American Legion Post No. 306, Hanover.

He married Kay Wilson on April 24, 1947, at Bendena. She survives.

Survivors also include four daughters, Martha Borhani, Manhattan, Linda Bryson, Marysville, Carol Piper, Westmoreland, and Gloria Stueve, Overland Park; a son, Ed Prell, Beatrice, Neb.; a sister, Elda Rickenberg, Beatrice, Neb.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ward Funeral Home, Washington. Burial will be in the Hanover City Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
