"When Sarah Elzira Porter was born on December 13, 1819, in Rutherford, Tennessee, her father, Hugh, was 42, and her mother, Mary, was 36. She married Milton Murray Laughlin on February 11, 1845, in Missouri. They had seven children in 13 years. She died on December 6, 1882, in Mercer, Missouri, at the age of 62, and was buried there."
