Carl Loyd Boone was the son of Joseph Boone and Sarah Elizabeth (Haggard) Boone. He married Ida S Swails, daughter of George Walter Swails and Elvira Jane (Thornton) Swails, probably in Oklahoma. I believe the couple headed for either eastern Kansas or possibly planned to go on over to Missouri soon after their marriage, because they lost two infants in Toronto, Woodson County, Kansas in the first year or so of their marriage. They returned to Oklahoma in time to have their next child, Lloyd Edwin in 1917 and another son, Kenneth Carl, in 1919.
