News was received in Weatherford Tuesday morning of the death of Sam Leatherwood who died at his home on the Clear Ford, east of Poolville, Monday afternoon. Mr. Leatherwood was about 65 years of age and was well known in the northern part of the county. The funeral and burial took place Tuesday afternoon. No detail concerning the life of Mr. Leatherwood being available at this time, a more-extended notice will appear in the a later issue of The Herald.
