Christine Josephine Green, age 87, of Portland, passed away January 3, 2011. She was born in Murray, Tenn., on March 14, 1923, to the late Joe and Effie Stewart Dickson. She is survived by her daughters, Joann (James) Lassiter of Portland, Rossi (Clifton) Bennett of Greenbrier, Tanya (Earl) Arnold of Old Hickory; son, James (Rosalyn) Green of Nashville; eight grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren. Visitation is 10 a.m., until 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2010, and 10 a.m., until 8 p.m., Wednesday. Funeral service is 10 a.m., Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Clifton Bennett officiating. Interment is at Old Brush Cemetery. Pallbearers are Keith Arnold, Brandon Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Juil Bennett, Earl Arnold and Scottie Bastian.
