Robert David Holdaway, 70, died at his home in Pleasant Grove on Sept. 4, 1978.
He was born Sept. 24, 1907, in Pleasant Grove to John S. and Margaret Adamson Holdaway. He married Edna Fugal Oct. 28, 1938 in the Salt Lake Temple.
He served in the Navy in World War II, and was a selfemployed excavating utilities contractor.
He served on the Pleasant Grove City Council, and was an active member of the LDS Church. He had served an LDS Mission. He was a High Priest in the Pleasant Grove 11th Ward.
Survivors include his widow, 3 sons and 3 daughters, Mrs. Duane (Jeanne) Westenskow, Orem; David Robert Holdaway, Pleasant Grove; Steven Neils Holdaway, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Mrs. Floyd (Barbara) Hill, Sandy; Boyd John Holdaway, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Devon (Debra) Hunt, Granger; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Holdaway, Pleasant Grove.
Funeral services are set for today (Thursday) Sept. 7, in the Pleasant Grove 11th Ward Chapel. Burial will be n the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
