Services were held at the General Baptist Church at Rives, Mo., last Thursday afternoon for Emmanuel Verdell Ginn, one-time resident of this county, who died at his home in Rives on March 2 at the age of 70 years. The Rev. Robert Huffman of Laflin, Mo., conducted the service and burial was in Maple cemetery, with H.S. Smith Funeral Home service.
Mr. Ginn was born December 13, 1884, at Lunenburg, Ark. and on November 6, 1904 in that city was married to Miss Stella Ward. The family moved to Missouri 25 years ago and lived in the Maplewood and Cottonwood Point communities, moving to Rives about four years ago.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Clyde Ginn of Snow Lake, Ark., Pleas Ginn of Doniphan, Mo. and Eulous Ginn of Rives; three daughters, Mrs. Audie Pewers of Anniston, Mo., Mrs. Nebie Downing of Steele and Mrs. Ola Mae Johnson of Niles, Calif; two brothers and a half-sister; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
