Winnie Lee Abbott, 78, Cashmere, died in a Cashmere nursing home Tuesday evening following an extended Illness. She was born on Aug. 31, 1895, in Lawrence, Texas and was married to Hewitt Abbott on Nov. 1919, in Ennis, Texas.
Following their marriage they made their home at Galveston Texas, until 1942. Than they came to Washington state, settling at Dryden. She was preceded In death hy her husband in I960.
Mrs. Abbott was a member of the Cashmere Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Haul) Barnes, Cashmere; a sister, Mrs. Dozier Richburg, Cashmere; two brothers, Eben Davis, Cashmere and William Davis, Paradise, and two graddaughters, Laura Lee Bailey and Carol Barnes, both of Cashmere. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Cashmere Baptist Church, Rev. James Merlin officiating.
Mrs. Edward Meyer was organist for congregational singing. Burial took place In the Cashmere Cemetery with the Braun Funeral Home In Charge of arrangements.
