Mr. Bill Jones, age 76, of Warren, Texas, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 30, 1932, in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, as a son of the late Regina (McAmee) and Alfred Jones . He was a retired machinist and mechanic.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a life member of VFW Post #10351 in Hemphill.
Survivors: daughters, Diana Gleason and her husband John of Warren and Susie Fasulo of Beaumont; son, Billy Jones and his wife Rhonda of San Augustine; a sister, Mariam Fry of Coatsville, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Chasetie Maloy, Gayle Ashworth, Jamie Griffin, Sarah Peagler, Mark Fasulo Jr., Travis Fasulo, Derek Fasulo, Jeremy Jones, and Chris Jones; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Faye Jones.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine with Bro. Thurman Whitaker officiating. Intement will follow at Dickerson Cemetery in the Grapevine community of San Augustine County.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.
