Ashburnham -- Grace I. Walcott, 100, of 8 Puffer St., a former homemaker, died Saturday, Aug.12, at Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, after a long illness. Her husband,Edmond S.Walcott died in 1928.
She leaves three sons, Raymond C. Walcott of N.Grandville, NY., James S. Walcott of Fitchburg and Aubrey F. Walcott of New Salem; a daughter, Avis M. Salo of Ashburnham; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. A brother, four sisters, a grandson and two great-grandsons, died before her.
She was born in Saxtons River, VT., daughter of William H. and Nellie (Watrous)Chapman, and lived in Ashburnham for many years. She attended Ashburnham Community Church.
Her funeral will be held Wed. Aug.16, from the Fletcher-Hebert Funeral home, Winchendon, with service at 11 a.m. in the Ashburnham Community Church, 9 Chapel St. Burial will be in New Cemetery.
