Ellen Loyrea Brewer Holliday was my grandmother and what a great one she was at that. She took the moment and make it her own when we were near. Her glance, if she was getting on to us would stop you cold in your tracks. Her hand and kiss would stop you in your tracks as well. Ellen Loyrea was a sweet lady and tough lady all rolled up in to a small package. She loved her husband Reverend Louis Arlo Holliday, Sr. and all of her babies. You won't know what I say to be true unless you were her family. Believe me, she was a person that is missed 26 years after she passed away. Her love is timeless and without boundaries. She walks with God now and holds the hands of her ancestors. You are missed Joree and we'll see you again up yonder.
