Grace M. Schalker, wife of Herman Schalker, 902 Osage Street, died at St. John's hospital shortly after 9 o'clock yesterday. Mrs. Schalker was 24 years old. An infant son died shortly afterward.
Mrs. Grace Schalker was a native of Leavenworth and had made her home here practically all of her life.. Her marriage to Herman Schalker took place January 1, 1919. Besides her husband she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gail; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Klamet of Bonner Springs and Sister Consuela of Atchison; two brothers, E.C. Gail, Strasburg, Colo and Charles B. Gail of the U.S. Navy.
The body was removed last night to the residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church. Interment of the body with that of the infant child who died at birth, will be made in Mount Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the J.C. Davis Undertaking Company
