Mary Cartlidge Phillips died Thursday, February 8, 2001 at her residence in Delhi.
Our loved one has gone on to be with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, whom she loved. She leaves with us the example of love and commitment to God and to her family. She was a devoted mother who was involved in a lifetime of church service serving as a teacher and choir member. She was former co-operator of Dar-Mar Farm Supply in Delhi and Max and Mary's Quick Stop in Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max W. Phillips; former husband, D. V. Cartlidge; brother, Adrian Welch and sister, Helen Ford.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Claude Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Charlie "Windy" Presley, all of Delhi; step daughter and step son-in-law, Delores and James "Rip" Rich; and step-son, Larry Phillips, all of Monroe; sister, Julia New, of Spencer; and many beloved and precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Vic Patton, Ben Hays, Mason Williams, John Antley, Paul New and Joey New.
