Lamar W. Bumbaugh, 87, formerly of the Boyertown area, died Monday at 9:45 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Pottstown, where he had resided seven months.

His wife, Ruth (Scholl) Bumbaugh, died in 1986.

Born in Washington Township, he is a son of the late Mazie W. Leh.

Bumbaugh was self-employed in collectables, books and herbs, retiring in 1996.

Surviving are two daughters, Elaine, wife of Michael Koval, Lakeland, Fla., and Margie, wife of Richard Griffith, Earl Township; and three sons: Bruce, Exeter Township; Robert, Marreo, La.; and David, Bloomsburg, Columbia County.

Other survivors include 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter Phyllis Taney.

Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the C.L. Losh Funeral Home, Boyertown. Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Pike Township.
