Anna Margaretha was the only child of Albert F. Hromada, born June 20, 1876 in Bohemia, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire; and Anna Margaretha Elfner, born Aug. 17, 1873 in Birkenau, Germany. Both parents died in 1933 and are buried in Clinton Cemetery, Irvington, Essex, NJ.

Anna married August "Gus" Bischke in 1921. They had two children: Alice E. born May 27, 1925 and Albert L. born Dec. 6, 1929, both in Brooklyn, Kings, NY.
