Dr. McFadden was born in Colorado to Charles and Nettie Spaulding McFadden.
He graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1933.
He moved to Klamath Falls in 1945, establishing a veterinary clinic with Dr. Harry Leonard. In 1958, he started his own practice, specializing in large animals.
Dr. McFadden retired in 1987.
He was a member of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, the Klamath Basin Horse Racing Association, the Cal-Ore Chariot Racing Association, the Klamath Falls Shrine Club, the Hillah Temple, and the York Lodge No. 234 of Spokane, Wash., and a 24 year member of Alcholics Anonymous. He also was a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Gladys; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Betsey, Anchorage, Alaska; granddaughters, Annette Power, Tigard, and Jennifer Zorick, Anchorage; grandson, Robert McFadden, Anchorage; and two nephews.
