VIOLA ANN TACKETT ESCUE
Viola Ann Tackett Escue, 90, of Point Pleasant, passed away July 21, 2002, at home after a five-year illness.
Born April 22, 1912, in Garretts Bend, she was the daughter of the late Sanford I. and Charlotte Welch Tackett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold W. Escue two daughters, Ruth and Janet Escue one son, Donald Escue two grandchildren one great-grandchild four brothers and two sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of Point Pleasant Church of Christ and the Point Pleasant Woman's Club.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Bill Smith of Manassas, Va. three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and JoAnn Escue of Point Pleasant, Roger and Doris Escue of Sod and Jerry and Marilyn Escue of Stuart, Fla. 18 grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with Minister Bob Kessenger officiating. Burial will be in Pauley Cemetery, Garretts Bend.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service at Wilcoxen Funeral Home.
