Marcy Couture was born in Portland Oregon on Feb 20th, 1920, the only child of Florence Goldman and Lester Couture. She attended Woodmere Grade School and graduated from Clinton Kelly High School of Commerce in 1938. Soon after graduation she began a career with the Federal Housing Administration in Portland where she worked as a secretary until the mid 1950's.
On Valentine's Day 1942 Marcy married Wilford 'Bill' Berg who was also a native of Portland and soon to be sent to Germany with the US Army. In 1948 the Berg's had their only child.
The Berg family resided in Portland until 1961 when they moved to Santa Rosa, Ca to be closer to her parents, Florence and Charles Williams.
Bill Berg passed away in Santa Rosa on April 12th, 1971.
Marcy Berg passed away in Santa Rosa on Valentine's Day, 1974.
Marcy leaves behind a son, grandaughter, and two greatgrandsons.
