Mr. McDaris died Friday, May 6, 1977, following an apparent heart attack. Born November 20, 1922 at Wagoner, he attended Wagoner County schools and at the time of his death, was employed with Smith and Moss Steel Company of Winfield Kansas. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; his father, Vernon McDaris of Wagoner; his mother, Lillie McDaris of Salinas, California; three brothers, Jack of Salina, Billy of Flagstaff, Arizona and Paul of Wagoner; three sisters, Mrs. Verna Barrett of Culver City, California, Mrs. Mae Houser of Salinas, Mrs. Wanda Poteet of Phoenix, Arizona; four step-children, Jim Lee of Oklahoma City, Gail Harvey of Atoka, Gwyn Ollie of Nashville, Tennessee and Shirley Steiner of Ohio; and four grandchildren.
