Mrs. Jimmie Morrow Watson, wife of Claywell Wason, was born June 30, 1896; died Dec. 16, 1916. She was happily married Sept. 23, 1919, to Claywell Watson and left immediately for her home at Sabinal.
She was soon taken ill with pneumonia and suffered some five weeks and on Dec. 16, 1919 the death angel came to take her home.
She leaves her young husband, father, mother and dear grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Morrow who had reared her from babyhood and a host of friends and loved ones to mourn her departure. Jimmie was known and loved by all by all. To know her was to love her.
Words fails us when we try to express our appreciation of this dear girl. She was a sweet, obedient girl, always ready to help the sick and distressed.
Jimmie professed faith in Christ in girlhood and united with the Baptist church. She was faithful to her Savior till death.
Weep not, dear husband, parents and loved ones, for you have the great consolation that Jimmie is at rest. She stands at the beautiful gate, beckoning you to come. It seems hard to give her up, but God in his wisdom saw fit to take her home to Him.
"The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord."
So be comforted Dear husband and loved ones for inasmuch as the Father in Heaven sacrificed his only son on the cross of calvary that we might live, so must we sacrifice those we love according to his will for there is no greater love than His. And thought she is gone and you can not call her back be of good cheer and you shall go to her.
She was laid to rest in the Blue Ridge cemetery beneath a mound of beautiful flowers. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Airhart of Westminster.
