Mrs. SCHARF was the oldest member of the Salem United Brethern Evangelical Church at the time of her death. Her survivors extended to the fifth generation, including l6 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was born at Chillicothe, O., June l7, l859 and was married to Frank SCHARF in Illinois May l2, l885. The husband died in l942.
Other survivors include four sons, W. H. SCHARF, Fred A. SCHARF and Dan SCHARF, all of Salem, and E. J. SCHARF, Perrydale; a daughter, Mrs. Rose CRANE, Modesto, Calif; and a sister, Mrs. Theresa BAUER, Jonesboro, Ill.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at l:30 p.m. at Howell-Edwards Chapel. Rev. a. G. JAMISON and Rev. F. E. FISHER will officiate and interment will follow at the Howell Cemetery near the Middle Grove community." Oregon Statesman Apr. ll, l955.
