"LULA L. CROMWELL

Lula L. Cromwell, 84, a longtime resident who had lived in Gaithersburg for the past 10 years, died December 25, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital after a heart attack.

Mrs. Cromwell was born in Baltimore and was a 1925 graduate of Towson State Teachers College. She taught school from 1927 to 1928 in New Jersey.

After that, she made her home in the Baltimore-Washington area and lived in Rockville before moving to Gaithersburg.

She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood and the Baltimore Conference Board of Child Care.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. G. Custer Cromwell, of Gaithersburg; two daughters, Phyllis Cowan of Portland Ore., and Ruth Wetzstein of New Carrollton.; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren."
