CHATHAM - David Watson Flowers, 71, of Chatham, formerly of Springfield and Banning, California, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at St. John's Hospital.

He was born November 11, 1937, in Curran Illinois, to Russell and Mary E. Harber Flowers, who preceded him in death.

David was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1961-1963 and was a former member of the Chatham Christian Church. He was a salesman for the Eddie Bauer Corporation and worked at his brother-in-law's business, Dick Taylor Automotive Combo-Carts. Dave loved to fish and always "did the best he could."
