Gordon Pugsley brought his British War Bride Gladys (Sammie) to Port Moody, BC in 1945. He built a new 2 bedroom home for them, and Sammie lived there until she died in 20 July 2000. Gordon worked driving gas delivery trucks for British American Oil Co. He died of a heart attack, at home, 21 Apr 1954, he was 34 years old. Sammie became the focus point for any family visiting the Vancouver B.C. area.

Survived by his wife Gladys, three sons, James, Roy and Donald at home, his parents in Terrace BC, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Funeral service Mon Apr 26 at 1:30 pm in the funeral home of S Bowell and Sons, Rev. M. Cameron officiating. Interment Mountain View Cemetery."
