JENA - Services for Mr. Bill Cockerham will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2002, in Temple Baptist Church of East Jena, La., with the Rev. Jimmy Keene and the Rev. Johnny Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Belah Cemetery, under direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home of Jena, La.

Mr. Cockerham, 69, of Trout, La. died at 12:37 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2002, in the Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, La.

He was founder and owner of LaSalle Printing Company of Jena, La. He was also a member of Searcy Baptist Church and an U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martil Cockerham of Trout, La.; one daughter, Vicki Zeagler of Trout, La.; four stepdaughters, Cathy Chapman of Rhinehart, La., Eva Starnes of Jena, La., Debbie Cockerham of Ball, La., and Darlene Shipley of Summerville, La.; two sons, Dean Cockerham of Jena, La. and Mickey Cockerham of Trout, La.; one stepson, Kenney Eaterbrook of Jena, La.; two sisters, Laverne Jordan of Winnfield, La. and Wanice [sic Wauniece] Thomas of Winnfield, La. and 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chance Cockerham, Michael Zeagler, Clint Reeves, Josh Chapman, Rance Shipley, Jeffery Mercer, Marc Mercer, and William Easterbrook.
