FAIRFIELD -- Don Jack Watkins, 58, formerly of Cross Plains, died Thursday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. in Cross Plains Cemetery.
Mr. Watkins was born in Gorman and graduated from Cross Plains High School in 1958. He was a rancher and was a cattle superintendent for the Freestone County Fair. He was a member of American Quarter Horse Association, Southwest Team Penning Association and First Methodist Church.
Survivors include one stepson, Cody Roller of Fairfield; two brothers, Keith Watkins of Eastland and Terry Watkins of New Orleans; three aunts; and several cousins.
Memorials may be sent to West Texas Boys Ranch in San Angelo.
