Mr. Ladd grew up in the Jonesboro area before joining the U.S. Army. He was a corrections officer at Choice Moore and a member of Bois' Arc Cowboy Church.
Mr. Ladd is survived by his wife Arlene Ladd, daughters Sarah Williamson of Calif., Gail Sequine of Mich., Diane Graunke of Ill., Cindy Widby of Wisc., Gail Hutchison of Texas and Valerie Bunnell of Mich., sisters Audrey Guelle of Jonesboro, Shirley Garrett of Fla., sisters-in-law Ernestine Ladd of Bay and Tressie Ladd of Calif.,
14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Asa (retired from McCarty Motors in Jonesboro) and Cora Ladd (Administrator of Craighead County Nursing Home), brother's Jim and Pete Ladd, and sister's Dean and Janie.
