Funeral services for Pete E. Joyce, respected farmer of the Old Center Church community near Fieldale who died Friday morning at his home after a lingering illness, were held at Blackberry Baptist Church Saturday. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Bob Koger and Miss Mary Frances Joyce and three sons, Bernard, Carl and Troy Joyce, and one sister, Mrs. J. B. Wright, all of the Old Center Church community.
Born and reared in Patrick County, Mr. Joyce had made his home in this county for the past 20 years and was a member of the Blackberry Baptist Church.
