BURTON - Lessie Ree Riddle McCombs, 86, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was born June 13, 1922, in Prentiss County to Bob and Tina South Riddle. She was a faithful member of Forked Oak Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Forked Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Rickey Johnson and Bro. Kenneth Bobo officiating. Burial will be in Forked Oak Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Bro. Horace McCombs; one daughter, Brenda Dear of Oakton, Va.; one son, Ronnie (Carolyn) McCombs of Booneville; one sister, Bobbie Nell (Leamon) Sanders of Booneville; six grandchildren, Mark (Tracy) Tabor, Kim (Pat) Sissom, Carissa Dear, Cerena (Duane) Young, Danielle (Robbie) King and Carlena (Burton) Benjamin; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Katie McGee and Anne Brown; and one daughter, Carole McCombs South.

Pallbearers will be Mark Tabor, Pat Sissom, Robbie King, Burton Benjamin, Randy McCombs and Billy Wade.

The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time today.
